In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Atlanta; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Georgia are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 12 pm–1 am. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (404) 343-0819. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, thekpot.com.

Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 2,344 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded hot pot in Atlanta.

Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Atlanta is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Georgia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

1 Star – Humiliating Experience That Ruined Our Trip My wife and I were visiting Atlanta and decided to eat at KPOT because we had heard great things. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the most humiliating dining experiences I’ve ever had. Before we were seated, I spoke directly with the manager, David, because my wife and I wanted different dining options. I wanted the Hot Pot. My wife doesn’t eat grilled meat, but she will occasionally eat meat if it’s boiled in the hot pot. Since the tables have two completely separate cooking areas, her food would have stayed entirely on her side, and mine on mine. I explained this to David, hoping we could simply enjoy dinner together. Instead, he told us that because of the restaurant’s policy, we could not sit together if we ordered differently. There was no attempt to understand our situation or offer any accommodation. To make matters even worse, I was seated alone in a corner of the restaurant next to cleaning supplies and an emergency exit while my wife sat elsewhere. Sitting there watching other couples and families enjoy their meals together while I sat alone was honestly humiliating. We had traveled to Atlanta to spend quality

Fantastic location near Midtown and offers prices that are much more reasonable than other AYCE spots in Atlanta. The servers are excellent, very attentive and there exactly when you need them. However, the ventilation system needs work as the smoke was quite heavy and left a strong smell on my clothes. I also noticed the buffet section was frequently empty and the tables/dishes could be better organized. Still, for the price and convenience, it’s a solid choice if you're in the area!

I am very disappointed with the service I received on 3/20/2026 when I came in with a party of 7 for a Birthday Party. We arrived and were promptly seated in a private room. A male employee came in the room and told us that the next day was our server’s birthday and asked that we tell her happy birthday. Ok we’re there for our friend’s birthday party but whatever. The lady came in and passed out menus and barely said anything. This was our first time here so we were confused when they server starting placing plates of “stuff” in front of us without explaining anything to us. From there there process was just so lackluster and we can to kinda figure out what to do. This was a whole missed opportunity that could have been fabulous if my party was greeted properly, and if the process was explained to us to make it fun. I really thought this would be a unique dining experience in a positive way but it was such the opposite because of our servers bad attitude and lack of attention to our party. I will try this style of dining again but not at this place. This restaurant is better suited to the younger adults with no standards.

Delicious hot pot and very generous portions! Even with the 2 hour time limit, we never felt like there wasn’t enough food or in a rush. Overall, great experience and would come back. Shoutout to Jeffrey (if I recall his name correctly) for being a great server!

I had always wanted to try KPOT, but the price kept me away until now. We finally went and overall it was a good experience. The seating was comfortable and our server Justin did a good job explaining the options. We went with both hot pot and BBQ for a small extra charge (5%) per person. For the broth, I got the tom yum and really liked it. My brother went with the spiciest option, but I preferred the tom yum for its balance and flavor. I do not eat beef, so I stuck to chicken and seafood and enjoyed them. The service was quick. It is definitely on the pricey side, but if you love eating a lot and enjoy meat, you can get your money’s worth. Dessert options were limited, which was a bit disappointing. We paid around 95% for two including tip. I probably would not go back, but it might be worth trying once to see if it’s your thing. Free and Plenty Parking.
